Worship

We normally meet for Sunday worship at 10.45am and 6.30pm, and in the evenings often share with St John's Church of England in Norley in joint worship.

Once a month, usually on the 3rd Sunday, there is an informal time of worship, sharing and learning that we call Norley@9. This lasts about 45 minutes and includes acivities for all age groups: there is no sermon! We don't normally have an evening service on those Sundays.

On all other Sundays, the Sunday School meet at the same time as Morning Worship and shares in a short part of it. The Sunday School provides for all ages, according to the needs at the time, as well as a Creche for the under 3s.

We share in Holy Communion twice per month, once as part of the morning service and once in the evening when all are welcome to share fully in the celebration. The children and young people join us at Morning Communion, participating as fully as parents (and perhaps, they) wish. Dates are given on the quarterly Circuit Preaching Plan.

We celebrate the great Christian Festivals with special acts of worship as well as our own Church and Sunday School Anniversaries in April or May

We meet with our Anglican and other Methodist friends from Norley, Kingsley and Crowton for special services many times during the year, such as Advent Carol service, during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, in Lent and at Ascension-tide.

We are served by the ministers and local preachers of the Delamere Forest Methodist Circuit, of which we are part, as well as by visiting preachers on some occasions. Also, about four times a year, the church's Spiritual Committee arranges a special morning or evening service in which many people take an active part.

The church is of course available for the community at all times, both happy and sad. Arrangements can always be made for baptisms, marriages, funerals and other services of celebration and thanksgiving which people may request.
